I did a couple of shoots in this series and I will probably do some more. Here’s the first one I did together with Beau.
Beau was kind enough to hop on over to my home studio and pose for some shots in a very patriotic red, white & blue theme. This lighting setup was inspired by some guy on the internet blabbing about how you can use a single white background to be white, grey and even black. So I said – let’s make it coloured

My friend Nanette came up with this concept, she had a shot that was really low key against a dark background but it was very low quality. So we set out to create a new one. Easy enough, she came over with some dark clothes and I set up some lighting for it. The key to getting this right was controlling the ambient and flash light – I didnt want much of either.
